Event overview
The Suzuki Violin group are students from Athy, Tullamore and Dublin. The students have pride themselves in giving concerts from an early age, to develop their technique and performance skills. I try to encourage all types of music among my students, this event is a fantastic opening for there enthusiasm. On the 20th the students will demonstrate there diversity of music. By playing the Bach Double Violin concerto, capture Irish and European folk music, thus, collaborate with some Irish dancers to some reels and jigs.
The Suzuki philosophy is based on the mother tongue method, where parents are involved in the lesson by observing the lesson and working on the detail of the lesson with the child in the home practise. Progress is not an accomplished of big steps but each small achievement is praised. Students are encouraged to do continuous workshops and concerts and graduations to motivate practice. The ability to practice is not a natural effort but it is developed by praise and encouragement mostly given at concerts. Some of the students today have participated in workshops in Ireland and abroad they also have preformed in the Royal Albert Hall London.
