The Irish Patchwork Society National Exhibition takes place every two years, showcasing the creativity and talent of our members from all around the island of Ireland and abroad.
2024 marks 1500 years since the death of St. Brigid and our exhibition seeks to celebrate this iconic female figure, both saint and goddess. St. Brigid’s Day \ Imbolc heralds in the beginning
of spring, to many a symbol of light, new life and healing. Our exhibition theme “A Common Thread: St. Brigid” challenges our members to explore what it is about Brigid that continues to resonate with so many not only in Ireland but across the world.
What is that Common Thread?
I hope you have had an opportunity to see this wonderful exhibition in person.
Thank you to all our members who exhibited, and to all those who worked hard in the background putting the exhibition together.
Our thanks to the Athy Community Arts Centre, Athy, Co. Kildare for supporting the Irish Patchwork Society in presenting this exhibition. The venue provides a great space in which to show the work of our members.
